my god

my eyeballs have started to ROT i think from being at work for so long.

yesterday kate burned me an awesome cd with delightful songs from Madagascar and Shrek 2, along with a compilation of Will Smith hits. this excited me greatly. :D

i have 2.5 hours left of work and then i am done. tonight my mom is buying paint for me and picking up supplies for me to paint my bedroom. i need to get like 5000 newspapers to cover the floor with.

i went to wal mart and bought all the cleaning supplies as well as rugs and pots. now all i have left to buy is lighting, window treatments, and an air conditioning unit. the rest, teresa can buy! haha. although i really can't think of much more that needs to be bought. yay for near-completedness!

i wish i had the patience to log in and read people's journals here at work, but this 28k connection makes me so ANGRY. i will probably have to use my entire break just to update my journal, much less read other peoples'. however, soon i will have the internet at the apartment - i will probably talk to teresa about setting up DSL soon. i think it is faster than cable.

talked to rene for about 15 mins yesterday. it was excellent! i can't wait until all of my baller buddies come back to memphis so we can all hang out again. the volleyballers will all be here on monday, and i saw rachel and tracy (bball) last thursday. team parties here we come; i noticed that i am off of volleyball on halloween weekend. jon will be going to the nine inch nails/queens of the stone age concert but me and my girls will be in town to dress up and act like fools. i should start planning a badass costume. like lindsey lohan said in 'mean girls,' "halloween is the one time of year when girls can dress like sluts and not be called sluts." i think i will go as marilyn monroe, to celebrate my new haircut. ;)

gosh, something about hearing billie holiday is just relaxing. (someone is listening to her in the parking lot.) kind of makes me smile - i think while i'm packing later tonight i will listen to a cd i have of her hits. such a great melancholy voice.

last day of work! i keep telling myself that i will never have to set foot in this god forsaken building again! NEVER AGAIN!
